GOD'S TIME

Good day to you!

What a beautiful day that the Lord made yesterday! It was an absolutely gorgeous day. Fall is definitely here. Last night we had a meeting and when we came outside afterwards I could smell fall. It probably was a combination of the dry air and some fireplace smoke and maybe a few pumpkins, mums and dried corn stalks but it still smelled like what fall smells like.

In a week or so we have a few Trunk or Treats around and maybe some fall festivals. Time just marches on, doesn't it? And things happen for a reason. God's timing is perfect. Spending time with God is most important for our lives.

Who knows, perhaps you have come to the
kingdom for such a time as this."
Esther 4:14b

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes  3:1-8

Time is important to God for us, not so much for himself. Since He lives in the spiritual realm, He transcends time. J.I. Packer says, "The Lord does not count time as we do. He is above and outside of the sphere of time. God sees all of eternity’s past and eternity’s future. The time that passes on earth is of no consequence from God’s timeless perspective. A second is no different from an eon; a billion years pass like seconds to the eternal God."

So, time really means lots to us but to God it means His timing is just right. He does things just the way and time He thinks best. Let's wait on Him and His timing for everything, and spend precious time with Him.

Have a first rate day!
