FOLLOWING


Good morning to you!

I tried to be good this morning. I got up at 5:30 am and put clothes and shoes away from my suitcase that I should have done already. Some days I wake up wanting to do things and other days I do not. But I do them anyway because I just don't want to get farther behind on my day to day duties. And this is a:

Great day to follow the Lord! One of the many, many definitions of follow is this: To accept the guidance, command, or leadership of. So, in this case we would accept the guidance or commands or the leadership of Jesus Christ, if we choose to follow Him. Faith in Jesus is to follow. Faith means to follow. 

And he said to them all, If any man will 
come after me, let him deny himself, and 
take up his cross daily, and follow me.  
Luke 9:23

That is what I want to do, to truly follow Jesus. That means giving up my life for His. He gave up His life for you, for me, for all of us. So, now we need to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Jesus.

When we ask Jesus into our heart, and we commit to what we have done, we are agreeing to submit or surrender ourselves to Jesus, to pattern our lives after Him and to place our relationship with Him above our own will and desires. This is not easy to do.

Following Jesus doesn’t mean we are without trials and tribulations. We are still going to go through stuff, but with Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, living in us we have Him helping us, giving us peace, showering us with His love.

We just have to give Him free reign in our lives. We have to believe His will be done not ours. And we have to learn to live for Him and be like Him. That is what it is all about!

I took this picture yesterday. It was amazing!   Good morning to you on  this blessed and chilly day! May God fill you with His love and His Spirit. He is awesome! He is miraculous! He is the great I AM! He is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last! He is our Lord of lords and King of kings. He is my Savior! Is He yours? Jesus is coming back soon. Do you know Him? Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid.
