PEOPLE NEED THE LORD

Good morning on this great, cool morning!

This is the coolest morning so far this fall but it is going to get frosty this coming week. Hallelujah!

I had a really hard time falling asleep last night. I prayed and sang and counted and recited and finally I went to sleep. And I didn't even have any caffeine yesterday. Well, maybe a couple of mg. in my little square of chocolate in the early morning. But I do that every day and it isn't enough to bother me. I don't like being sensitive to caffeine one little bit. It puts such a damper on what I can drink. I love to drink fresh brewed restaurant unsweet tea but haven't had it in a year maybe because of what it does to me. At home I drink decaf. Caffeine affects my sleep and we can't have that. I need my sleep to live my life like I should. I try anyway!

Oh Lord, help me not to have to deal with that but it is not about me and it is all about you. Help me to always remember that. Help me Lord to not focus on the things that do not benefit me eternally.

We should turn our eyes upon Jesus especially when the things of life drive us crazy and we focus on them instead of the truly important things of God.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, 
whatever is noble, whatever is right,  
whatever is pure, whatever is 
lovely, whatever is admirable--
if anything is excellent or praise-
worthy--think about such things.
Philippians 4:8

These are the important things. These are the godly things that God wants us to dwell on, to think about. Because He is truly the most important One in our lives. Living for Him is the most important thing in our lives.

It truly breaks my heart to think about the people that don't have Jesus in their lives to think about and dwell on. Oh my, how lost they truly are! Let's pray for them. Let's get on our knees and truly lift them up to our great and awesome God because they really need Him. People need the Lord!
