SUBMIT

Good morning to you this fine day!

I pray that you are blessed in a mighty way. I am. I know that God's blessings abound, even in this world. Even in our lives. If you can't find any blessings in your life, think again. Everyone has blessings of some kind in their life. Find them, count them, and praise God for them.

Have you ever thought of the word: submit? Don't know what this has to do with blessings. God just popped it in my head.

What does submit mean and what are we to do with it?
  1. propose or hand in something: to hand something in or put something forward for consideration, approval, or judgment
  2. yield: to accept somebody else's authority or will, especially reluctantly or under pressure
  3. agree: to agree to undergo something
Well, when we submit to God we are not handing in a paper. But we are agreeing and accepting somebody else's will. But in submission to God it should be willingly and not under pressure. We should do it because He wants us to and we love Him and most importantly because He is worthy.

HE IS WORTHY!!
A lot of people cringe at the word submit. Like in submitting to our husbands. It is not a submission of power in the physical or emotional sense but in the godly sense. God told us to, not so they can lord it over us or be in control but so that our husband, as head of the household, can be the levelheaded one in decisions. Remember science tells us that women are emotional. And I admit that is so true for me. I think sometimes with my heart when I should think with my head. Our emotional side doesn't get us anywhere sometimes. Tears come easy. We worry more. I certainly am not putting down women. Don't get me wrong. I just know myself and that is how I am. I am sure all women are not that way and I also know that there are many single women out there as well as single mothers that have full responsibility of their lives.

All I am trying to say is this scripture, and as usual I might have put my foot in my mouth.

Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.  For the
husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church,
his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to
Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in
everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved
the church and gave himself up for her...
Ephesians 5:21-25a

Have a blessed day!
