SIN
Good morning to you!
May God bless you and give you peace. His love endures forever.
Another wild Wednesday was my lot yesterday. I am so thankful for God's mercy and grace. He loves us so much that He forgives us always when we ask. Our sins become as far away as the east is from the west. He helps us when we get too busy or stressed. How awesome is that!
Do not be angry beyond measure, O LORD;
do not remember our sins forever. Oh, look upon
us, we pray, for we are all your people.
Isaiah 64:9
For our offenses are many in your sight, and our
sins testify against us. Our offenses are ever
with us, and we acknowledge our iniquities:
Isaiah 59:12
The Bible says we all sin. We can blame it all on Adam and Eve when they ate the fruit on the Tree of Good and Evil. But it was their choice to do it and it is our choice also to sin. We know what is right and wrong when we read God's Word. And we choose to sin anyway. Shame on us. Sometimes it is outright disobedience and sometimes it is something we don't even think about and we do it. Sin can be doing something we shouldn't or it can be not doing something that God wants us to do.
The awesome part of sin is the forgiveness that God gives us when we ask. He knows our heart and He also knows we are human and we sin. Forgive us, O God, for what we do that does not please you!
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
far as the east is from the west, so far has
he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:12
"Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know
that through Jesus the forgiveness
of sins is proclaimed to you."
Acts 13:38
There we have it. We don't have to live in our sin. God loves us enough to forgive us and then so much more than that. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty of the sins of the whole world. And that fulfilled all the prophecies about that. Jesus rose from the dead to fulfill prophecy again, to be a example for us, to help our faith.
"So, Jesus had to rise from the grave in order to give us something to
believe in, something to hope in, something to put our faith in. The
miracle of the resurrection helps our faith," says Jeff Short.
How awesome and wonderful is that? Let's give our hearts to Jesus and let Him work in us!
Have an excellent day!
