CHANGE

Callaway Gardens

Good morning to you!
  This is the day the Lord has made.  
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24 

Are you rejoicing and glad in this new day? The beautiful flowers, the blue sky, the white fluffy clouds, the green grass and trees, and the warm air make me want to shout to the Lord.

The grass withers and the 
flowers fall, but the word 
of our God endures forever.”
Isaiah 40:8

Soon enough the flowers and grass will die, the leaves will fall, and the air will be cold. And then will we be rejoicing and glad in it? 

I hope and pray that we will be. Especially because these things happen. The tides change. The seasons change. We change. But the Word of God endures forever. God never changes. 

Jesus Christ is the same yester-
day and today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8 

And since Jesus never changes, we can count on Him to be our all in all, our salvation, our promise keeper, our everything. His love never changes. He never changes.

My husband has mentioned several times through our 37 years of marriage how I have changed. I am not as sweet, naive and gullible as I was when I was in my early 20's. I want to say, well, duh. Life has a way of changing a person. Through the ups and downs of life we are maybe hardened a little bit. And our attitudes change through the challenges of life. I can only hope and pray that I have changed for the good through Jesus Christ our Lord.

But God never changes. We can count on that. Think about it.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid.   Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
