SAVED
Good morning to you!
Blessed be the Lord forever! Amen and Amen.
Psalm 89:52
I wanted to start out today giving the Lord glory first. Because without Him, we are nothing. At least I am. God is my all in all, my everything. I probably don't always give Him the idea that I feel that way all the time. But I mean to. I want to thank Him and tell of Him to everyone. And as I said I don't do a very good job at it. But I try.
Now today I have lots to do. I pray the Lord will be with us and help us all with the things that we have to do. Although maybe some of those things are not on the Lord's agenda, but they are on mine. I want to please Him so much, but I am a sinner saved by grace. I thank Him so much for that.
The "sinner saved by grace" phrase is used a lot. But I just read an article online about the fact that it is an unbiblical phrase.
I will give you the link for the full reading if you wish but I will share it in quicker.
Let's look at it quickly, if that is possible since this article I read is pretty long. I will start with scripture.
For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And,
“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
1 Peter 4:17-18
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
1 John 1:5-10
What is a sinner?
By definition, a sinner, is one that practices sin. They are in league, if you will, with their father, the devil. They have his nature and traits. They are enemies of God. That is a sinner.
'saved' is:
Saved, as used in the bible, when referring to the spiritual condition of a person, means that this person has been rescued from the control of the devil, has had their sin nature changed, and are now children of God, with His nature in them. Their sins have been washed away, and they will not end up in hell.

Their sins have been washed away, and they will not end up in hell.
'By grace' is:
This means, that their being saved, was not because they did anything to merit it. How could they? They were God's enemies. But, 'grace', being God's unmerited favor, made the way for us to be saved. And that grace, is only applied, when we, by faith, receive it.

So, when we are sinners we are not saved. We are in darkness. And when we are saved by grace, we are no longer sinners but are now righteous in God's eyes. We were sinners but now we are saved. We are no longer considered sinners. Now we do sin but we ask for forgiveness and God loves us and forgives us. But we are no longer sinners.
The phrase "we are sinners saved by grace" means we are still sinners and we are saved by God's grace which in all reality is impossible.
Does that make sense? It does to me. I never really thought about it that deep before. But it is something to definitely to think about and I won't say it any more because my God loves me and forgives me and I am going to heaven to live with Him for eternity. How about you?
Have a wonderful day!

Sorry this is so long.
