GOD KNOWS

Good morning!

How are you this fine day? I pray that all is well. Have you ever got on to a website that posts little short videos with animals doing funny things or such? I watched a couple this morning. One of them was a dog, large dog, swinging in a baby swing at the park. The owner had put the dog in the swing and said that the dog loved to swing for about a half hour. It was so sweet. He just kept pushing him and he would go back and forth. And the dog loved it.

Sometimes little simple things just touch your heart. The fact the the owner would actually push the dog for half an hour is amazing to me. Even though I really like animals, I just don't have time to do those sorts of things. Maybe I am not patient enough. Who knows? I am sure God knows.

God knows every little detail of our lives. He doesn't miss a thing, good or bad. We can hide nothing from God. Remember He is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. What do those mean? (I am learning as I do this because I forget the meanings.)

Omnipotent means almighty and all-ruling. When we say God is “Almighty,” we are stating our belief in His authority and rulership over all creation, and the Bible is firm in declaring this fact.

And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great
multitude, as the sound of many waters and as
the sound of mighty thunderings, saying,
“Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
Revelation 19:6

Omnipresent means that God is everywhere, in the known, and unknown universe.  And the Spirit of God is infinite. We can not do anything that He does not know about.

“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell [the grave], behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me”.
Psalm 139:7–10

Now we can be separated from Him because of our sin.

But your iniquities have separated
    you from your God;
your sins have hidden his face from you,
so that he will not hear.
Isaiah 59:2

But God is still everywhere. Remember He will not leave us or forsake us.

And God is omniscient which means having complete or unlimited knowledge, awareness, or understanding; perceiving all things.

And there is no creature hidden from His sight,
but all things are open and laid bare to
the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
Hebrews 4:13

So, this is just a very short note on Who God is.  The most important thing to remember is that He loves us so much. He is Almighty. He is everywhere. And He knows and perceives all things. We can do nothing without Him knowing what we have done. We can hide nothing from Him. What are we trying to hide from God?

Have a blessed day!
