GOD IS GREAT

Good morning on this great day
which the Lord has made!

It rained again. I poured for a little bit just after 6 PM last night and then again very early this morning. We are in that weather pattern again with rain almost every day, very humid, and as I said before, not so hot. That's the part I like. But when it is 75* and 90% humidity it is still hot. That is one thing I miss about the west, the very dry air. The difference is amazing.

And it is a very busy time again. This week as I mentioned a few days ago is crazy. I love the VBS part every night. Tonight is the commencement program. And my parents are coming from out of state. And that's a great part of it. And I sell Avon and I have to bag up and deliver this week. But it is all the other stuff I have to do to prepare for all of the above. The cleaning is the biggie. I wish my house was perfect all the time. It is not dirty just messy. My husband and I are not the best at putting everything in its place when we are done with it. So, I get to put everything away and in its place (somewhere) and then I can clean. Ugh! That part I think I got done. Then we have a pizza dinner at the church but I get to cook dinner for the family here also. I did a crock pot roast. And then I will have to finish the rest later on. So, my day and week has gone.

Even in the busy, stressful times we need to just depend on God and trust Him, even when we make our own busyness and stress. I can't wait until vacation time in October when I can rest. I am more than ready.
But in the meantime I can just rest in the Lord. May He give you and me the peace that passeth all understanding and comfort when we need it and the love that only He can give. And then may He give us rest.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all
understanding, will guard your hearts
and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7
Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies
and God of all comfort, who comforts us in
all our tribulation, that we may be able to
comfort those who are in any trouble,
with the comfort with which we
ourselves are comforted by God.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Know therefore that the LORD your
God is God; he is the faithful God,
keeping his covenant of love to a
thousand generations of those who
love him and keep his commands.
Deuteronomy 7:9
Come to me, all who labor and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
Have a blessed day!
